It is with heavy hearts to announce that Mary Ann Paul (Melody), age 62, born January 16th, 1962, to her father Robert A. Rose of Boston Massachusetts and Her mother Mary Ann Simon of Eskasoni, passed away at home peacefully after a long battle with cancer. Monday June 3, 2024, she started her journey surrounded by all her loved ones.
Melody’s favorite quote was “you can’t turn back the clocks of time” and she stood by that, never forgetting important dates that were approaching. She was a bit of a house cat with ideas that bloomed. Her heart sat best at home with her green thumb, she enjoyed planting. Melody was a mother of 8 children. She was a strong, beautiful woman. She was a foster parent who cared for many children who she loved as her own. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, she cherished her annual travels with them. She loved dining at Peking, making crafts, having coffee chats, going for long drives, summer BBQ and the beach, watching her detective shows and playing tv bingo. She enjoyed her double up machine from time to time. She was funny, outspoken with no filter and a loving woman with an attitude. Her favorite color was burgundy. She enjoyed reminiscing about past events in her younger years, travelling to Maine to pick blueberries, spending time with her mom and siblings. Her favorite holidays were Christmas and Thanksgiving. She enjoyed being pampered and spoiled. Her favorite store was the Dollarama, and online shopping. Her favorite flowers are lilacs and baby's breath, and her favorite bird was a red chested robin. So, if you see one take it as a sign of her. She loved life and family. She believed in God, Community, and that the impossible was possible. She believed in her children and just wanted them to be healthy and happy. She was the pull we used to thrive, she was loved, she was hopeful, she was ours, she is going to be deeply missed by us all.
Until we reunite, Her Loved ones left to mourn, she was survived by her loving partner and best friend Glenn Beaten, All of Her Children: Danielle Paul, Paige Paul (Shaun Wadden), Anna Paul (Jimmy), Erica (Robert) Whitall, Amelia Paul (Kittu), Arthur J.Paul, Ricco Paul. Her Stepchildren: Carrie Lee, Chad Knockwood, Kolton Beaten, Her Siblings, Danielle Rose, William (Billy)Rose, Christopher Rose.
Her beautiful Granddaughters: Kallie, Valerie, Akeelah, Ava, Baby Melody, Baby Amelia Prem , Aaria Ann, Great Granddaughters: Lilah Mae, Aribella, Her handsome Grandsons: Roderick (Ricky jij), Cory Poulette(kc)and his other Zarah Tobin, Tobias(Toby), Shaun(scare), Thunder(bug), Baby Artie, Travis (TJ), Robert (Baby Rob), Gabrielle, Great Grandson Jackson & Baby Shaun Grandchildren by heart: Hayleigh: Riley, Leah, Landon, Leland and Lily Godchildren, Christopher Rose, Diane Hartigan, Angela Woodberry, Joshua Laporte, Eden Victoria Rose, Tessa MacDonald, Brian Marshall, Tyler Mellen, Dustin Hawco.
She will be always missed by many nieces and nephews, and her best friend Roderick Paul (Ricky), best friends, Rosie Laporte, Mary Mellen, Cousin Deborah Isaac

Visiting hours for Melody will be held at her home, 131 Membertou Street, In Membertou at 7pm, June 13th and 14th. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 15th 11:00 am at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish with Fr. Bill Burke officiating. Burial at Membertou Memorial Gardens with Salite to follow.
