It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Shane MacLean at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Sunday June 28,2020 after battling a brief illness. Born in Sydney Shane was the son of Lindsay MacLean and Patricia Covin.
Shane is survived by his fiancé Cheryl Bonaparte (Baby Cakes), Chasity Bonaparte (Baby Girl), Father- Lindsay MacLean(Wanda), Mother- Patricia Covin(Billy), Brothers- Adam MacLean(Andrea), Trevor MacLean, Son- Michael MacLean(Haylee), Daughter- Maureena MacLean, Nieces- Bianca MacLean, Claire MacLean, Nephew -Austin MacLean, Grandmother- Belle MacLean, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Shane was predeceased by his maternal Grandparents Ernest Covin, Josephine Covin, and Paternal Grandfather Mickey MacLean.
Shane was the kind of guy who was always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed it and was always there for his family especially his mom Trish, whom Shane loved more then life itself, he would always find time in his day to stop in for a quick chat and a cup of tea, or just to drop her off a little gift to brighten her day. Shane had a great sense of humor and loved a good laugh, and had a compassion for all animals especially his cats and dogs.
Shane was full of energy always keeping busy whether it was fishing, digging for clams and mussels, camping, testing his green thumb gardening, tinkering on cars and the list goes on and on. Shane was a man of many words but one word he would never use was goodbye he would always say “on the beach”.
He will be deeply missed and will "love love" on in our hearts forever.
