Lawrence was a loving son and brother to his brothers and sisters and to his son Lou-Diamond. He was a talented artist whose work expressed the spirit of his traditional beliefs. He had many friends and spent much of his time with his best friends Clyde and Susan. He was well liked by everyone and he went out of his way to help those in need, even when he himself possessed little means. Growing up he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and archery. He taught himself how to draw and to play guitar. He was deeply traditional. He taught us to be better people and for this he was most loved.
Lawrence was predeceased by his Grandparents Putus Charles Herney (Matilda), Donald and Helen Wells, aunt/Godmother, Theresa Mugridge (Leo), aunts Rhodena (Russel) Christmas, Bernadean Herney, Hazel Herney, uncles Earl Herney, and Michael Herney.
