It is with saddened hearts that we announce the sudden passing on Wednesday April 17, of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother Lawrence "Lyle" Joseph MucMullin. Born on September 5, 1940 to the late Malcolm and Mary (MacKenzie) MacMullin of Pipers Cove. Lyle is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gladys (Mulvihill), 4 children Pat (Debbie) of New Jersey and Jane, Lawrence Jr. and Darryl (Tara) all of Sydney, 9 grandchildren Lacie, Dyllan, Kendel, Colton, Nolan, Brenda, Devon, Liam and Madison and 1 great grandchild Arya, and many nieces and nephews.
Lyle grew up in Pipers Cove in a family of 16, 7 brothers and 8 sisters, Sander, Roddie, Angus, Jackie, Sarah, Barbara, Dena, Delores, Florence, Lucina, Theresa and Arlene who will mourn Lyle's passing.
Lyle's other siblings Norman, Hector and Raymond, along with his parents, have passed on ahead.
Dad worked for many years as an auto mechanic. He was very hard working, kind and compassionate and he was loved by all who knew him. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Dad could be a real jokester and had a great passion for his antique cars.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, April 21 from 4 until 7pm at TW Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St., with a Funeral Service taking place at 2:30pm on Monday, April 22 also at TW Curry Parkview Chapel with Fr. The family would also like to thank all of the Dr.s, Nurses, Emergency Personal and Hospital Staff for everything that they did for dad.
