It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Andrew Marshall, A beloved son of June Joe and the late Juan DeJesus, born on April 14, 1968. He passed away at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on December 9, 2020.
He is survived by Brothers; Jose (Donna) Echevarria, Angello (Sheila) DeJesus, and sister Marian Nicholas. Also his one and only daughter Anne Marie Lafford of Eskasoni.
John was loved so much by his nephews and nieces and best friend Michael Sappier.
John loved his dog Buddy, his team Chicago Blackhawks, wrestling, and repairing bikes for the kids.
We would like to thank the Eskasoni Health care team: Dr. Todd, Adam Elliot, Tanas Sylliboy and the Eskasoni pharmacy. We are thankful for the Eskasoni Homecare workers: Jennifer Toney, Trish Johnson, Dave Rus and many more, also would like to thank the palliative care unit staff and ambulance drivers.
Visitation will begin on Monday December 14, 2020 after 7 pm, at 4686 Shore Road, Eskasoni at the home of Viney Sappier with a Funeral Mass at Holy Family Church at 10:30am on Wednesday December 16, 2020 with Fr. Antolin Asor officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Parish Cemetery.
