Born in Sydney, N.S. He was the son of the late Dorothy Simon (Eskasoni) and the late Edmund Christmas (Membertou) & Step-father the late Joseph Allen Francis (Eskasoni).
John was a Musician, he liked to play the drums and the guitar, and liked to sing Karaoke. He also liked visiting friends and family.
He currently worked at Tommy Simon’s Garage. In his previous years he worked as a Paramedic with T.W Curry Paramedic Service, and as a Teacher’s Aid at the Eskasoni School.
He is survived by his children Faith Martell (Potlotek) and Anjelikah Stevens (Eskasoni). His Sibling’s Joseph (Damaris), Stephen (Taylor), Johanna (Terrence); godparent’s Noel Joe Simon and Wilma Simon; godchild James Simon; Uncles, Aunts, Nieces and Nephews of all of Eskasoni and Membertou as well as his Best friend Tommy Simon.
He was pre deceased by his mother, father and step-Father; godchild Katie Belle, aunts, uncles and grandparents.
Visitation for Mr. Francis(Simon) will begin at 7pm on Tuesday December 13, 2022 at the Elder Center 44 Spencers Lane, Eskasoni. Funeral Mass will occur on Thursday December 15, 2022 at Holy Family Parish, Eskasoni. Meal and Salite will follow.
