Geraldine Burke

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our mother, Geraldine Burke, at her home on October 16, 2019. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was so strong until the very end. Always a force to be reckoned with. She was predeceased by husband, Raymond: her parents, Daniel and Susan Stewart; eight sisters, Ann, Josie, Isabelle, Gladys, Rachelle, Mary, Margie and Eva and two brothers, John and Donald. She is survived by sons, Raymond, Wayne and Robert of Sydney, daughter, Josephine (Stanley) of Moncton; sister, Jeanie in Sydney; grandchildren, Jennifer, Ottawa; Kyle, Ireland; and Alyssa , Moncton. Also by many nieces and nephews in Sydney and Toronto. Special thanks to the nurses of VON Karen, Helen and Ann and all the nurses she met over the past five years. Also special thanks to Dr. Buhariwalla, Pier Clinic and Dr. Thanamayooran, Renal at the Cape Breton Regional. A private memorial will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at T.W.
