Frank always shared his love, knowledge, and support for others willingly and graciously. He will be forever missed by his loving wife, Leanne. He will be remembered with love by his parents, Vito and Odile Testa, his sister Sandi Faraone (Gabe) and his parents-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Martinello. His absence will be felt by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada and abroad.
Frank committed himself passionately to everything he did in life. He spent many years as a skier and club instructor. He enjoyed being his own mechanic and getting things ‘just right’ with his vehicles over the years. Jaunts to favourite destinations in the sunny south, especially Grand Cayman, were filled with tennis, swimming and happy memories. Like his father and grandfather, he was musically inclined and appreciated the beauty of many genres of music. He loved Math and brought that passion to others, especially as he helped so many realize their educational hopes and dreams as a teacher, tutor and instructional leader. Frank’s love of food and the wonderful meals he created were lovingly shared with many friends and family. But his greatest love next to Leanne, was his love of cycling which dated back to Frank’s youngest years. He belonged to different cycling clubs and logged innumerable kilometres riding either solo, or with lots of friends and club members. To everyone, he would have encouraged you to “Ride on. Ride ‘til the wheels fall off”, just like he did.
Frank generously and happily went that extra mile to help others, often before himself. Frank was a calming influence who always gave confidence to others so they could meet success. He demonstrated patience, discipline and sensitivity, with a sense of humour that was uniquely Frank.
Frank passed away peacefully on April 15, 2022, after courageously battling illness. He was aware and grateful for his many blessings.
Frank hoped to complete the Princess Margaret Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer this coming June. In lieu of flowers, voluntary donations can be made at https://supportthepmcf.ca/ui/PDPMemorial/p/franktesta
