Emily Patricia Ongo

On Friday, April 4, 2025 a the Cape Breton Regional Hospital surrounded by the love and presence of her family, Emily Patricia Ongo passed peacefully away at the age of 75. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Jennie Ongo and a longtime resident of South Bar. Emily was also predeceased by 2 infant brothers Alex and Philip and a sister Theresa Anne.

Emily was a longtime member of St. Alphonse parish and a strong woman of faith with a good sense of humour. Emily loved to go shopping and visiting with all of the merchants at the mall. She was a longtime resident of Miner’s Memorial Manor Residential Care Facility and will be missed by the staff and residents who became a part of Emily’s family. She will also be missed by friends Fr. Everett MacDow, Cathy Delaney and family and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, April 10 at TW Curry Parkview Chapel, 755 George St. with Fr. MacDow officiating. Interment to take place at a later date in St. Alphonse Parish cemetery. Memories and condolences can be shared by visiting twcurry.com.
