Dorothy Cecilia Rudderham

Born in Sydney, December 22, 1933, she was the eldest daughter of the late James and Lillian (Carew) Gill.

She was a longtime member of the Lingan Golf Club and the Sydney Curling Club. Dorothy spent many hours knitting for her family and beloved grandchildren. Later when her eyes failed her, she would knit by touch. She never lost her sense of humour.

Dorothy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Nelson, 4 daughters; Gail (Martin Chernin), Kim (Arno Raymakers), Lynn (Jared Wolfe) and Lori Rudderham, 2 Sons; Nelson and Dwight (Maria O’Hearn), 7 Grandchildren; Adam, Shaun, Jeffery, Jocelyn, Jillian, Samantha, Nessa and great-granddaughter Gianna. Also by sisters Shirley Howell, Marie ‘Nikki’ Kay, Lillian ‘Cookie’ Gale and Geraldine ‘Dubba’ Gill and brothers Alfie and Billy.

She was predeceased by her brother John ‘Bunny’ Gill, stepbrother Tom and stepsisters Theresa, Rita, Mary and Catherine.

Visitation for Dorothy will take place from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Wed Oct 5 at TW Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 3pm on Fri Oct 7 at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys with Rev Bill Burke officiating. Burial to follow in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
