He is survived by his sisters, Reyonalda and Theresa and his brother-in-law, Johnnie Axworthy, all of East Bay; and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
Daniel grew up in East Bay and spent his adult life in Sydney. He spent many happy years in his house on Champlain Avenue. and was a fixture in his neighbourhood. He cared about his neighbours and they cared for him.
Daniel loved driving and cars. Even in his later years he would happily recount some of his adventures on the road. He was also a true Chev fan, owning many vehicles over the years, and keeping each as pristine as the day it was purchased. He was also generous, happy to lend his car to a family member or friend if they needed it. Daniel’s interest in cars extended into his work as well and he enjoyed a forty-year career in the parts department at MacIntyre Chev Olds.
Daniel was appreciative of the visits and care from his family members and also of the staff who cared for him at the MacGillivray Guest Home. His family thanks them for the excellent care he received.
