Dan Angus MacNeil

Dan retired from Keeprite (Brantford) after 30 years of service. He was involved in chuckwagons and chariots for many years and with the Canadian Standardbred Association.

Dan is survived by his wife Gale of 60 years, children Raymond (Suzie), Tommy and Jackie, grandchildren Krystal (Bob), Taylor (Nick), Sara (Shandon), Daniel, Aaron and Sean, great grandchildren Myla, Riley, Joseph, Logan, siblings Peggy Gillies, Hughie (Mary Lou), Ray (Carleen (deceased)), sister-in-law Kay, Donna Huffman, Eleanor deLottinville (deceased), brother-in-law Frank Jenkins, Lloyd deLottinville (Gloria), Bill deLottinville, John delottinville (Barb), Joe delottinville (Bev), and blessed with many nieces and nephews.

Dan is predeceased by his parents Neil and Margaret, siblings Jim (Kay), Joe (Theresa), Alex (Doris), Anne Jenkins, Marie Burns (Carol), Jean Madore, Katie (Neil) and Charlie.

Visitation will take place at Christmas Island Fire Hall, Thursday July 13th from 4pm – 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be on Friday July 14th at the St. Columba Church in Iona at 11 am with interment following in St. Barra's Cemetery, Christmas Island. There will be a reception at the Christmas Island Fire Hall after the funeral. The service will be posted through TW Curry's Facebook page.

Special thanks to the 4C Unit Staff, Dr. Kelly and the Palliative Care Unit at Cape Breton Regional Hospital. In lieu of flowers charitable donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
