36 – Eskasoni

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of Dale Frank Dennis, 36 of Eskasoni. Dale passed away in Eskasoni on July 4, 2015.

Born in Sydney he was the son of Bill Martin, New Glasgow and the late Denise Dennis. He was raised by his maternal grandparents the late Frank and Mary Jane (Battiste) Dennis.

Dale’s charismatic personally attracted many friends into his life, he was everyone’s friend. Dale’s total lack of ability to hold a grudge was the endearing quality about him that others loved. In his mind his wives were his wives. Reality is what u make it. He was active in his community and was always willing to help others or volunteer in the community filling in potholes. He enjoyed landscaping, gaming and the Montreal Canadians, but most of all he adored his children.

He is survived by his children, Franky and Valee, and their mother Valerie; Lila and her mother, Santa ‘Lala’; Nikkita and Jasmine and their mother, Cecily; Denise, Teara and Taylynn and their mother Francella; sisters, Vicki (Simon), Dawn (Paddy), Jenny Lee (Gary) , Jeannie, Peggy (Larry), Glenda (Jeff), Andrea (Calvin), Connie (Hubert), Melanie, Tabitha (Charles), Robin, Mabel (Mike), Joyce, Paula, Wendy; brothers, Christopher, Garry, Daniel Clinton, Daniel Willis, Lyndon, Perry (Mary Lou) and Clayton (Catherine); godchildren, Billford, Ryder and Rory.

Visitation will begin after 7 p.m. on Thursday, at his home at 135 Spencer’s Lane, Eskasoni. A funeral mass will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11 at Holy Family Church, Eskasoni. Rev. Angus MacDougall will officiate. Interment in parish cemetery.
