Anita Mae Googoo

Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Roddie and Matilda (Dennis) Googoo. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her family and best friends, Steve Francis, Denice Purell and Catherine Dennis.

She is survived by her son Alfred Jr. (Annie), two daughters Kylie (Noel) and Mary (Collin), also granddaughters Kaylie, Melody, Olivia, Elizabeth and Rowen. Anita also leaves behind her grandsons; Tyrell, Tyler and Deandre, her brothers; Roderick (Christine), Stephen (April) and Mick (Dorothy), her sisters; Barbara (Steve), Doreen (Pius), Florence (Lonnie), Linda, Trudy, Karen and Marian Nicholas as well as best sister in law Frances.

Anita is predeceased by her parents Roddie and Matilda Googoo, her brothers; Robert, Raymond, Ryan (Hazel) and Kenny (Frances), her sisters Susie Jane, Mary Isabel, Annie Bridget, Clara, Shiela, Rose Ann and Laura as well as Godfather Sammy Smith.

She will be missed by her godmother Viney Sapier and godchildren; Rita, Jasmine, Daniel and Ekkian. Visitation for the late Anita Googoo will take place on Tuesday, Oct 3rd at the family residence, 136 Spencer’s Lane, Eskasoni, after 7pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Oct 5th at 10:30am at Holy Family Parish, Fr. Antolin Asor and Deacon Tom Sylliboy to officiate. Cremation and salite will follow.
