It is with broken hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Walter Andrew Webb on Tuesday June 17, 2014 a much loved partner, father and friend.
Born in Sydney he was the son of the late George and Dolly (Winsor) Webb. Formerly of South Bar, Andrew was presently living in Sydney River with his loving partner Carol Hall and their many furry companions.
He believed in giving back to the community and volunteered for many things including the South Bar Fire Dept. and Boy Scouts of Canada.
He enjoyed being active and could often be seen riding the roads of Cape Breton on his motorcycle and meeting his many friends for a cup of tea at Tim’s.
Andrew worked as a crane operator at the Sydney Steel Plant and most recently with Nova Scotia Power.
He leaves behind the love of his life, Carol Hall; brother, David Webb; his children, Lisa Webb and Michael Webb; step daughters, Kim (Sheldon) MacKinnon and Stephanie (Matt) McPhail; grandchildren, Clark and Marley MacKinnon.
He was predeceased by his uncle, Dick Winsor.
Visitation for the late Mr. Webb will be held 2 -5 p.m. Sunday, June 22, funeral service will be celebrated 2 p.m. Monday, June 23, Rev. Tom Whent officiating, both at T. W. Curry Parkview Chapel.
The family would like to thank, Mary Anne Gotell, the EMT’s and the Critical Care team at the Regional Hospital whose superior care and skill were greatly appreciated.
