Dear Gussy and Family:  It was with great sadness that we read that your Father had passed away.  Your Mother and Father were so good to us when we lived in the little house so many years ago..almost 40 years.  They adopted us and were so kind and wonderful to our boys Jimmie and Christopher while we lived there.  So many things we have thought about since we knew about your Dad..Your Mum teaching me to make her famous cabbage rolls..and I still make them every year at Christmas..telling us stories of days gone by, Jimmie leaving to go out to play and when asked what he was going to do he would reply" I have to go and see if Alex gotsa job for me!"  He loved both your Mum and your Dad.  I also remember asking your Mother one time when I was my last days of pregnancy why they hadn't been going to Middle River lately..and they advised us they weren't going far until the baby is born !!!  We couldn't beleive it!!  We had no idea that was the reason.  That just shows you the type of caring people they were.  And now they are both gone..and we are so sorry for your loss.  We feel such sadness as well.  I hope they knew how much we loved them.  I remember one winter shortly after Christopher was born, seventeen power polls came down in front of the farm on the road and of course we had no heat..but your Mum and Dad moved us over to their house..for at least two or three days until we had power again.   In the nights when we went to bed Jimmie and Christopher and myself in on one bed...she heated flannelette sheets to keep us warm.  Your were so very lucky, you and Michel to have them as parents.
