It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Wayne Douglas Budge on June 16, 2023 following a brief illness. Wayne was born on March 21, 1947 in Neils Harbour where he lived and raised his family. A successful career as a teacher, principal, warden and councillor of Victoria County. Although a man of few words, he loved his family, community, church and his cats.
A passion for fly fishing, tying flies, guiding and a love of the outdoors. He enjoyed sharing this with any person who was interested. He taught many people to fly fish and was a true ambassador to the sport.

He is also survived by his only nephew Ryan (Marley) Budge and special friends Laura Rose, Jack Dowling, Billy Hogan and John MacNeil.
Wayne was predeceased by the love of his life Nancy Budge, parents Tom and Edna Budge, mother and father-in-law Ernest and Mary Burton, brother-in-law Joseph Burton and special aunts and uncles.
