Mildred Ethel Edwards

It is with deep sadness that we the family of Mildred Ethel Edwards announce her passing at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on October 17 with her family by her side. Born in New Haven on August 29, 1950 to the late Thomas and Minnie (Rogers) Rose. Millie worked for over 20 years at the Keltic Lodge and also at the Fish Plant in New Haven. In her spare time, Millie loved to read, write in her journal and she especially enjoyed visits with family and meeting with friends at the Clans.

Besides her parents Millie was predeceased by her boyfriend Kelvin Smith, brothers Francis, Roy and Alvin as well as sisters Maisy and Theresa.

Millie is survived and will be missed by her children Nicole, Kelly (Andrew) and Christopher, 4 grandchildren, siblings Janet, Henry (Laura), Georgie (Shauna), Nina (Gerard), Ronnie (Beatrice), Roland (Natalie) and Wallace (Debbie).

A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, October 26 at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Neil’s Harbour with Rev. Carolyn Sharpe officiating. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.fillmoreandwhitman.com.
