It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend Bernetta Stubbert at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on December 19, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Born on August 20, 1936 to the late Angus and Florence. Bernetta loved the outdoors, going for walks and her drives to Cheticamp and around Kempt Head. She loved to cook, bake as well as her daily chats on the phone. She had a great love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left to mourn her passing is her children Carol Ann Bragg (Bruce), Nancy Jessome, Leonard, Deborah (Bernie), Daniel, Beverly and Bruce along with 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 7 step great grandchilden and daughter-in-law Roxanne Hefford and son-in-law James Jessome, sister Lillian Bonnar and Gladys Canavan.
Besides her parents Florence and Angus, Bernetta was predeceased by her sons William (2018) and Keith (1968) and a son and daughter in infancy and sister Florence Bonnar.
A private family service will be held. Interment will take place in Point Aconi Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.fillmoreandwhitman.com.
