Born in Fall River, a son of Lionel and Valerie (Hopkins) Rousseau he was a lifelong resident of Somerset.
A graduate of Somerset High School, Class of 1989, he earned a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. Dedicated to his career, he worked for Synventive Molding Solutions in Peabody, MA for nearly 25 years as a Plastics Engineer and as the Director of Applications and Technical Services. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed playing golf, watching the Red Sox and New England Patriots. Bill took great pleasure in playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents he is survived by three children, Lizzie, Tommy and Lexxie Rousseau all of Somerset; one sister, Tammy Martin and her husband Tony of Tiverton, RI; one brother, Dave Rousseau and his wife Donna of Canton, MA; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in memory of Bill Rousseau to support Dr. Nathenson’s Sarcoma Research Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284; checks to be made payable to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute with Dr. Nathenson’s Sarcoma Research Fund on the memo line.
