Born in Fall River, he was the son of Claudette (Lavoie) Couturier of Swansea and the late Robert Couturier.
Stephen was a graduate of Boston University, and worked as a Benefits Consultant, retiring from the Adobe Group in 2020. He was an avid reader and enjoyed college football, especially the USC Trojans and watching the LA Dodgers. Stephen also enjoyed frequent trips to Las Vegas and spending time with his dogs.
Along with his mother, Stephen is survived by his sister, Patricia Ward and her husband Jeffrey of Swansea; his brother, Michael Couturier and his wife Kristen of South Kingstown, RI. He was the beloved uncle to Alexander Couturier and his fiancée Amy Smith of Somerset, Stephanie Couturier of Seattle, WA, and Jameson Ward of Swansea and great uncle of Liam, Iain and Aiden.
Memorial Service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, prior to the service. Relatives and friends are invited.
