

The Angels came to take her from the family she loved more than anything. She was the wife of Raymond Berthelette . Ray and Sally had a very special marriage of 38 years.
Born in Fall River, MA and raised in Swansea daughter of the late Francis and the late Sadie (Dewey) Remy, she was a longtime resident of Assonet.
A graduate of Case High School she earned her nursing degree from Union Truesdale Hospital. A Licensed Practical Nurse for Charlton Memorial Hospital for 44 years until her retirement in 2011, she also taught Certified Nursing Assistant courses for the American Red Cross. Sally loved her flower gardens, she also enjoyed cooking for all the family occasions, Sally was a fantastic cook she was happiest spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with her family on the many vacations she went on with Patti, Jay and Christian. She looked forward every day to texting with Patti and Christine and her many friends.
Sally was always going out her way to help someone in need. She had a heart of gold and will be missed by many people who loved her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Patti Anne Berthelette and her husband Jason Swartzendruber and Christine Weakley and her husband Stephen; and four grandchildren, Brandon Mellor, Christian Swartzendruber, Ethan Weakley and Rylan Weakley.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM in St. Bernard’s Church, 30 South Main St., Assonet, MA. Burial will be in Assonet Burying Ground, Assonet. Contributions may be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital a charity she donated to monthly, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
