Richard C. Arruda III

Richard C. Arruda III, age 47, of Swansea passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at his residence comforted by his family. He was the husband of Cori A. (Lamb-Conti) Arruda to whom he has been married for 5 years.

Son of Ana Paula (Santos) Mello and the late Richard C. Arruda, Jr., he lived in Attleboro and Rehoboth for many years prior to moving to Swansea.

He was the owner and operator of R.C.A. Painting for 20 years. An active man, he enjoyed playing basketball, sailing, vacationing at the beach, and a well-prepared meal.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Ashley Arruda and Amber Arruda both of Swansea; one son, Richard C. Arruda, IV of Swansea; one step-son, Stephen Conti of Swansea; paternal grandmother, Vivian Arruda of Attleboro; one sister, Cristina Corbeil of Attleboro, and half siblings Wayne Mello of Hudson, MA, Tanya Ricci of Londonderry, NH, Gilbert Arruda of St. Augustine, FL, and Michael Arruda of Germany.

His Funeral will be Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 12:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited.
