Rachel M. Latessa

Born in Fall River, a daughter of Faith Latessa and stepdaughter of Donald Freitas, she was a lifelong resident of Swansea.

A graduate of Joseph Case High School, Class of 2004 she earned an Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy from New England Technical Institute. With an impressive work ethic, she was a dispatcher and driver for Town Transportation, where she was a bus driver for local schools and drove people to their doctor’s appointments.

A devoted mother, daughter and friend, she will be remembered for her generous heart. With a true appreciation for the outdoors, she loved camping, going to the beach, traveling and had an adventurous spirit. Rachel was a fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Celtics and the New York Yankees.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her cherished son, Connor Latessa of Swansea; aunt, Amanda Lynn Latessa; uncle, Stuart Latessa , aunt, Mary Latessa, Grandmother Francis Frank, aunts, Susan Frank, Cindy Frank, Sandra Augiar and cousins, and many friends.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 4:00 PM with a visitation to follow until 7:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.waring-sullivan.com
