Paul R. Richards

Paul R. Richards, age 72, of Swansea passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at home. He was the loving husband of Sarah (Cullen) Richards and they had just celebrated forty five years of marriage.

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Roger and Lorraine (Vezina) Richards, he was a life-long resident of the area.

A veteran of the United States Army, Paul was stationed in Korea for several years before being honorably discharged and was retired from the Fall River Fire Department. A skilled carpenter, he was an avid New England Sports fan and enjoyed relaxing at home but above all is true passion was being with his family and supporting them no matter what.

In addition to his wife Sarah survivors include: two children, Shannon Richards and her significant other Matthew Beausoleil of Warwick and Scott Richards and his wife Siobhan of Connecticut; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca LaChapelle of Warwick; six grandchildren, Andrea Richards, Jordan Richards, Gavin Smolenski, Emma Richards, Jaxson Sepulveda and Owen Richards; one sister, Gisele Hastings; two brothers, Ronald and Daniel Richards and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Visiting hours prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
