Born in Fall River a son of the late Arsene D. and Antoinette (Hanley) Thibodeau, he spent his youth in Fall River before moving to Swansea in 1972.
He was employed for several years as a custodian in the Westport School System.
A veteran of the United States Marines having served in the Korean Conflict he was a recipient of the Good Conduct Award and the National Defense Service Medal. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his three daughters, Paula Rancourt and her husband Scott of Newport, Gail Martin and her husband Barry of Swansea and Sherri Lauzon and her husband Jeffrey of West Baldwin, ME; one sister, Pauline Kiley and her husband Robert; two grandsons, Ethan Lauzon and Wyatt Lauzon and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Roland Thibodeau.
His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea with visiting hours from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service. Relatives and friends are invited.
