Marie E. Gendron

Marie E. (Tacovelli) Gendron, age 87, of Swansea, passed away on September 26, 2024, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Jean “John” B. Gendron, with whom she shared 33 wonderful years of marriage.

Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late George Tacovelli and Anne E. Schmidt.

Marie dedicated her career to the medical field, working as a medical assistant in several private physician’s offices before retiring from Pediatric Associates in 1998. A devoted wife and mother, family was always her top priority. She had a passion for knitting, crocheting, sewing, art, and cooking. Marie was especially known for her treasured cookie recipe, a delightful creation that her family still struggles to perfect and share.

Marie was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be forever missed by everyone who knew her. Along with her husband, she is survived by three children, Diane E. Bruno of Orlando Florida, Debra A. Raymond and her husband Bill of Mashpee and David F. Vasconcellos of Woburn; three grandchildren, Kimberly Galvin of Berkley, Greggory W. Raymond of Boston and Dante D. Vasconcellos of Woburn; her great grandchildren, Finnegan and Addison; her brother, Frank Tacovelli of Delray Beach, FL and several nieces and nephews.

Her visitation will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be private.
