Mabel (Tanous) Kennedy, loving Mother, Grandmother, Mother in Law, Sister, Aunt, and Friend, was granted her precious angel wings on May 16, 2013. She was the daughter of the late Najaim and Jennie (Sabra) Tanous. Her husband, John Kennedy, whom she was married to for 57 years, preceded her in death.
She is the special mother of Joy Hallal of Swansea, grandmother of Kathryn Hallal, mother-in-law of David P. Hallal. She is survived by two brothers: Thomas and George Tanous of Swansea. She was the sister of the late Rose Mizher, Alice Musto, Jamelle Abdallah and Fred Tanous. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
Mabel was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church and a member of its choir. She was employed at Stop and Shop for many years.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardner’s Neck Rd., Swansea. Arrangements are in the care of the WARING-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest. Contributions in her honor may be made to Southcoast V.N.A., 200 Mill Rd., Fairhaven, MA 02719. Burial private.
