Born in Worcester, raised in Paxton, the daughter of the late Roy and Dorothy (Ladd) Wentworth, she was a resident of Swansea for over 65 years.
Ms. Slowe attended art school in Boston, MA and was a baker for the Joseph Case High School cafeteria for many years. Skilled in the arts, she played the cello in her youth, designed greeting cards, sewed clothing for dolls and for her family and quilts. An active member of the First Christian Congregational Church in Swansea she volunteered for many of their events and fairs.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah “Debbie” Martin and her husband Seth of South Yarmouth and Beverly Lamoureux and her husband Paul of Franklin, ME; three grandchildren, Allena Martin, Anna Lamoureux and Matthew Lamoureux and her good friend, Sarah Lundquist. She was the sister of the late Alan Wentworth.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the First Christian Congregational Church, 1113 G.A.R. Highway, Swansea, MA. Relatives and friends are invited.
