Lillian Y. (Rousseau) Andrews, age 90, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at Attleboro Healthcare Center. She was the wife of the late Anthony H. Andrews to whom she was married for 47 years before his passing in 1995.
Born in Rehoboth and lifelong resident she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Vermette) Rousseau.
A manager for men’s clothing stores, she worked for many years before her retirement. Skilled at crocheting and knitting, she most enjoyed taking care of and being there for her entire family.
She is survived by one daughter, Susan Carlson and her husband Ron of Rehoboth; two sons, Kenneth S. Andrews of Rehoboth and Bruce J. Andrews and his wife Jennifer of Swansea; one sister, Jeanette Nadeau; five grandchildren, Malainne Costa and Meagan, Amanda, Scott and Kendra Andrews; four great grandchildren, Joseph, Charlotte, Fitzgerald and Archibald and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Marylou Costa and sister of the late Armand, Lucien, Albert, Alcide, Ernest and Arthur Rousseau, I’melda Dias, Ora Rose, Anita Massarotti and Rose Axon.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 10:00am in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea followed by burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence, RI.
