Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Raymond and Hazel (Valley) Card, she had lived in Swansea for many years, before retiring to Florida. She returned to Swansea in the summers to see her family.
Arlene was a sales clerk at Sears in Swansea, working in the catalog division for over twenty years before retiring. Known for her love of life and laughter, she will be remembered for her witty one liners that left us with tears running down our legs. She loved country music and dancing. She rescued and adopted many dogs and cats throughout her life and loved taking care of her grand-doggies. Her greatest joy in life was being a grandmother and mother to her two sons.
Survivors include: her children, Jeffery Gonsalves and his wife Juli Parker of Swansea, Glen Gonsalves and his wife Nicole of Somerset, Anne Marie Edwards (Robert) of Mississippi, Romelle Page of Mississippi, Kyle Beach, Jr. (Christine) of Somerset and Richard Beach (Melanie) of Tennessee; one sister, Jean Pappas of Swansea; her grandchildren, Lori Pacileo (Salvatore) of Georgia, David Traynum, Jr. of Newport, Ryan O’Sullivan of Newport, Shayne O’Sullivan (Alexandra) of Texas, Jillian O’Sullivan (John Opalski) of California, Kyle Gonsalves (Tiffany) of Swansea, Sarah Beach of Warwick, Kyle Beach, III of Warwick, Kiana Gonsalves of Swansea, Rashelle LePage (Kyle) of Swansea, Olivia Gonsalves of Somerset, and nineteen cherished grandchildren from Mississippi; many great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
