Joan A. Gracia

Joan A. (Simmons) Gracia, age 75 of Swansea passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Somerset Ridge Nursing Facility on June 4th. She was the daughter of the late Laura and Eugene Simmons. She was the loving wife of Antone Gracia for 57 years. Joan will be deeply missed by her husband, children and grandchildren. Born in Fall River and residing for the last 45 years in Swansea. Joan was employed by the former Ann & Hope. Joan loved to spend time with her family and friends and enjoyed doing word search, travel, play bingo and going to Foxwoods.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Kenneth Gracia and his wife Carole of Swansea; a daughter, Brenda Massa and her husband David of Westport; a sister, Shirley Venancio of Fall river; a brother, Norm Simmons and his wife Pam of Warren, four grandchildren, Laura and David Massa, and Kenneth and Jesse Gracia; several sister in-laws and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Delores Alves.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 10:30AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea, Massachusetts 02777. Visitation prior from 9:00 to 10:30AM. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
