Gertrude Knight

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Adrien and Augustine (Desrosiers) Brodeur, she was a lifelong area resident.

She and her husband were the owners and operators of Knight’s Quality Service Station in Fall River since 1967. She was a communicant of the former St. Michael’s Church now St. Francis of Assisi Church. An avid bingo player she enjoyed taking trips to both Foxwoods and Twin River Casinos. Her best times spent were with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters: Joyce A. Janson and her husband Robert and Patricia Bernier and her husband Dennis, one son; John H. Knight Jr. and his wife Jennifer, one sister; Noela Dumais all of Swansea, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Florian Brodeur.

Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 9:00AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 530 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea. Visiting hours Monday from 4:00 to 7:00PM. Burial private.
