Mr. Edward Eddie T. Ferreira

Born in St. Michael, Azores, a son of the late Manuel T. and Rose (Ledo) Ferreira, he had resided in Swansea for over 30 years.

Mr. Ferreira worked for Forte Brothers Construction for many years until his retirement.

He was active with the St. Michael's Holy Ghost Feast and also enjoyed fishing and gambling.

Survivors include his children, David V. Ferreira and his companion Josephine of Fall River, Daniel Ferreira of Swansea, Theresa Wold and her husband Steven of Auburn, MA, Donald M. Ferreira and his wife Gabriella of Swansea, Bernadette Ferreira of Fall River, Derick Ferreira and his wife Deana of E. Providence, and Dean M. Ferreira and his wife Alcina of Fall River; brothers, John T. Ferreira and his wife Helen of Central Valley, NY and Dennis T. Ferreira and his wife Mary of Swansea; sisters, Mrs. Agnes Perreira of Swansea and her late husband Manuel Perreira, Mary T. Feijo of Westport and Josephine DiCorpo and her husband Armand of Florida; daughter-in-law, Joyce Ferreira of Fall River; sister-in-law, Gilda Ferreira of Somerset; fifteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces , nephews and his four legged companion Chili. He was the father of the late Douglas E. Ferreira and brother of the late Manuel T. Ferreira, Jr.

His Funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 9AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE AT BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM in St. Michael’s Church, 189 Essex St., Fall River.
