Dylan Joseph Quinn, age 16, of Rehoboth, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday morning, January 15, 2023 as the result of a motor vehicle accident in Berkley, Massachusetts. He was the loving son of Michael P. Quinn and Cara (Curran) Quinn of Rehoboth.
A junior at Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School in Taunton, Dylan was a student/athlete in the metal fabrication program, a face off get off (fogo) with Lacrosse Team and the Goalie on the Boys Varsity Hockey Team.
Dylan was a lifelong attendee of Camp Ramsbottom in Rehoboth, where he was a Camp Counselor this past summer.
Dylan was known for his infectious grin, his ability to make people laugh, brighten a day, and for his many pranks. A born athlete, he started playing hockey when he was 4 years old. He later developed a love of lacrosse and snowboarding. Dylan loved anything that involved adventure, risk, and allowed him to stretch the limits of his endurance. He was a natural leader. He knew what he wanted and persisted in making it happen. Finally, he was a kind person and true and loyal friend.
In addition to his parents, Dylan is survived by his younger brother Connor Quinn; his grandparents James and Paula Quinn of Somerset, and Nicholas Curran of Pawtucket, RI; aunts and uncles Dianne Quinn, Karen and Jim Nolin, Teresa Griffin, and Kevin and Chantal Quinn and several cousins.
His visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea. Relatives and friends are invited. Dylan’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 1pm in the Gymnasium at Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School, 207 Hart St., Taunton, MA.
