Born in Swansea, a daughter of the late Maximinio and Helen (Medeiros) Medeiros, she was a lifelong resident of Swansea. Dorothy was a graduate of Joseph Case High School, class of 1937 and a communicant of St. Dominic’s Church.
She was employed at Firestone Rubber Co. for 5 ½ years in the gas mask department during World War II. She was a homemaker who especially enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, was an avid New England patriots fan and was huge music fan, especially country music!
She is survived by three sons, Ronald A. Clark and his wife Cynthia of Fall River, Kenneth P. Clark and his wife Janet of Swansea and Brian S. Clark and his wife Paula of Swansea; a daughter, Jayne E. Clark of Swansea; a brother, Joseph Medeiros of Somerset; seven grandchildren, Michael Clark and his wife Jessica, Kristen Medeiros, Jennifer Chaves and her husband Josh, Keith Clark and his wife Maureen, Scott Clark and his wife Alicia, Beth Clark and Adam Clark; ten great-grandchildren, Aaron Clark, Richie LaPorte, Jarrett Clark, Jesse Clark, Trinity Clark, Alex Clark, Collin Clark, Sarah Clark, Alivia Clark and Jacob Medeiros; two step granddaughters, Ashley and Mandi and four step great-grandchildren, Nathanial, Alice, Aylah and Devin and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Joyce Clark and sister of the late Mary Merrit, Evelyn Dowling, Carolyn Severson, Edward Medeiros, Helen Fournier and Ernest Medeiros.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 10:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at BIRCHCREST, 189 Gardners Neck Road, Swansea, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00AM in St. Dominic’s Church, 1277 G.A.R.
