Anthony, “Tony,” “Antwan,” “T-Man,” “TK,” “Tony K,” and his (most) favorite “Pou", Koutsogiannis was born on September 1, 1965 In Naoussa, Greece and peacefully passed away in his own home on February 26, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
If you were lucky enough to be in his presence whether you knew him for a long time, or had just met him he had the ability to make you feel like you have known him all of your life.
Tony was the product of hard work and determination. Born in Naoussa, Greece to Paraskevi (Litos) Koutsogiannis and the late Konstantinos Koutsogiannis, his parents immigrated to America in 1970 with himself and his sisters to Fall River, Ma and finally settled into the heart of Somerset.
He was a proud graduate of B.M.C.Durfee High School , Class of 1983 where he began his lifelong career of being the life of the party. Tony was a jack of all trades. Whether that meant opening up the former Anthony’s Pizzeria in Fall River, or finally settling into his true profession as Tony the Tailor. With his older sister by his side, Tony learned the art of tailoring through his father making sure all of his clients felt their best, whether it be with a new suit, or the perfect tapered pair of pants.
Not only was he a magician with a sewing machine or needle and thread, he was also known as MacGyver with his tool belt. He was the ultimate Mr. Fix It with rewiring electric, building something from scratch, becoming a mechanic when needed, and always being the best pool guy there was.
Being the life of the party wasn’t always an easy task. Although he was content on the beach with a drink in hand achieving the ultimate tan, and watching sports screaming at the television, he was at his happiest with his family and grandkids.
He was the heart of the home. You could often find him cooking his famous seafood stuffing, or chicken parmesan, cheering his grandkids on at any sporting event, making sure the laundry was done and folded at pristine perfection, or napping on the couch with his legs crossed and hat over his eyes.
Next time you are on vacation, if you listen closely we are sure you’ll be able to hear his infectious laugh on a tropical beach over the roar of the waves.
Anthony is survived by his beautiful wife of 36 years Karen V. (Ledoux) Koutsogiannis, he was the loving father of Lindsey Rego and her husband Joshua, Caitlin Gates and her husband Kenneth, Nikos Koutsogiannis all of Swansea; loving brother of Mary Kyriakakis and her husband Stephen of Somerset, Zoe Kiklis and her husband Michael of Alexandria, VA and the loving grandfather of Cole, Lily, Addison, Kolton and Kaia.
