Achille "Jay" Young Jr.

Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana he was the son of Achille J. Young Sr., and the late Frances Darleen Lejeune.

A graduate of Redemptorist high school, he went on to complete a Certificate at ITT Tech and worked as a general contractor for many years. Prior to that he was a Scaffold builder and worked all over the country. He worked on the big dig and Providence Place Mall.

A lover of football, he was a fan of the New Orleans Saints and the LSU Tigers. He also enjoyed fishing, playing poker, Cajun cooking and spending time with his family. He was a true Louisiana Badass who touched everyone he met.

Besides his wife and father, Achille leaves behind his beloved daughter Trinity Young, and his sister Virginia K. Young. Several Nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, 189 Gardners Neck Rd., Swansea, followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Trinity Young, all donations will be used towards her future endeavors.
