Violet was a friendly, kind, patient, giving, and genuine person. While Violet was strong willed she had a calming presence and was full of compassion. She always had kind words to say about others. Violet was God-fearing and prayerful.
Violet loved her dear mother Lily, sister Grace, husband Norman, and dog Jody. She loved learning and was top of her class growing up. Piano, skating and writing were among many of her hobbies as too was gardening, cooking and baking. She loved to enjoy good food along with good company. A favourite pastime of Violet’s was watching Christmas shows on the Hallmark Channel. Violet had a strong faith and sponsored various organizations including the Salvation Army, World Vision, and the Jewish Society. She had a beautiful, hearty laugh filled with joy and life. This kindhearted woman will be missed by many.
Pastor Mike Poulin will be officiating a graveside service at 11:00 am April 30, 2019 followed by a memorial tea in the Tea Room at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre - 14831 - 28th Avenue, Surrey, BC. All are welcome to join in remembering Violet.
