Dear Brenda and Family:
When we first moved into Gillis walk 12 years ago, one of the first neighbours we met were you and Ralph. He was always there when volunteers were needed to work for the betterment of our community. His untiring dedication to his Council duties was very much appreciated by all. He was very approachable and was always there when needed. Although we moved away 3+ years ago, we have contined to consider him one of our very treasured friends. Please know that all of you have been in our thoughts during this difficult time.

As General George S. Patton once said, "It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived." I remember Mr. Layzell as one of my mentors growing up in Richmond and being there for Andrew and myself playing our Youth soccer. He would drive us to games and give us his feed-back which still sticks to this day. Still remember the good times of swimming in the pool and feeling very welcome in their home. Take great care. My Mom and Dad share their love as well as myself in these difficult times.

We have so many fond memories of Ralph over the last 12 years.  Ralph is one of the most special friends we have ever had.  We could visit anytime and always feel welcome.  Laughs and comraderie were the order of the day.  Generosity & kindness was what he knew so well.   When we met at our first Strata Council Meeting we immediately connected.  We will miss you Bluey!    God Bless.
