Paul Russell Neil was born June 17, 1955, in Campbell River, BC. On April 23, 2022 in the Royal Columbian Hospital, New Westminster, BC, Paul passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family after a long courageous battle with Heart & Lung Disease.
Paul grew up in Delta, BC – and after graduating Paul bought himself a Crane Truck and began a long career as a proud truck and crane operator. In his early 20’s he joined his father’s company, Walrus Truck and Crane, where he bought in as partner and worked hard for over 40 years until he retired at the age of 66. At age 30 Paul met his wife Gerri and shared 36 years of marriage with her. Together they raised their three T’s in Surrey, BC.
Paul loved to snowmobile, jet ski, dirt bike, ATV and fish with an ice cold Bud in hand. Paul also owned a Harley, Honda Shadow and TR7. He had many hobbies and many friends but his biggest pleasure in life was a plot of land he purchased in his youth. He called it God’s Country, in Deka Lake, BC. Paul put his heart and soul into making Deka the perfect place to spend time with his family and friends.
Paul is survived by his wife Gerri; daughters Tonia and Tiana; son Tyrell; grandchildren Taylen and Tiarra; sister Jeanne and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Mother Mary and Father Russell; sister Cindy; brother Gary and Niece Danielle.
