Olive G Miller

Ollie left us peacefully on April 20, 2016 age 83, to be reunited with many loved ones predeceasing her: husband Rev. Al Miller (2001), parents Rev. Thomas & Louise Johnson, brothers Carman & Albert, sisters Margaret Jewell, Mae Barichello, and nieces Faye Barichello, Marianne Jewell.

Ollie’s family delighted her to the end: children Debra (Mark), David, Heather (Ron), Holly (Terry), and grandchildren: Ryan, Lindsay, Sarah, Courtney & Caitlin, as well as step grandchildren Charlotte, Julia & Jaimie. She leaves one great grandchild, Felicia, as well as her much beloved companion Larry Church.

Ollie’s friends and extended family span the globe and were a constant source of joy for her.She was an avid communicator and, no matter how distant, her friends were always close in spirit. Ollie’s spirituality encompassed multi beliefs and, along with her love of music, writing and books, were the gathering-point of her community.

The family would like to thank Dr. W.G. Spangehl, the nurses at Peace Arch hospital, and staff of Sunnyside Manor. Thanks also to dear friend Ursula for her devoted care .

A celebration of Ollie’s life will be held Saturday, May 14 2016, at 11:00 am, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, located at 2350 148th Street, Surrey. We ask anyone attending to wear something purple in honour of her favorite colour. In lieu of flowers (due to allergies), donations may be made to Mount Olive Lutheran Church, or Habitat for Humanity.
