Maureen Patricia Lowrie

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Maureen Patricia Lowrie, age 87, on July 7, 2019. She married David Lowrie, in 1960. They lived in Scotland before emigrating to Canada in 1972. Maureen is survived by two children, Susan Lowrie and Norma Bowie (Stephen). She is also survived by two grandchildren, Stewart Bowie (Stephanie) and Jennifer Vaux (Tanner). Maureen is also survived by one great grandchild, Danica Bowie, who was the joy of her life. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband, David, in 2000.

Maureen lost her parents at a early age. It was a close knit family and they adored each other. She is pre-deceased by her brothers and survived by her younger sister, Margaret.

Maureen was an avid reader. She loved music and was actively involved in the Silvertones and Parkwood Manor choirs. Maureen enjoyed her reading group, completing word jumbles and anything that was on PBS and the Knowledge Network. She loved watching movies, especially those from when she was young.

Time spent with the family were the most important. Maureen was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.

Maureen will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in perfect peace.
