Luz Cabarlo

Luz was born on January 6, 1918 in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, to Jose Cabanilla and Felipa Cordero Cabanilla. She received her cosmetology and dressmaker career in Sampaloc, Manila. On June 20, 1947, she married Dionisio Cabarlo. They raised three sons, Jesus, Rolando, and Reynaldo, and a daughter, Alice.

Luz had an infectious smile and was known for her kind and compassionate spirit. She had a passion as a dressmaker whose various clothing designs were much admired by friends and family. She was also a culinary chef who loved to provide homecooked meals to anyone who came to visit.

Luz was preceded in death by her husband Dionisio, her father, Jose, and her mother, Felipa. She is survived by her four children, four grandsons, three granddaughters, three great grandsons, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 28, 20 from 05:30 PM to 09:00 PM at the Fraser Heights Chapel, First Memorial Funeral Services, Surrey, BC.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the Garden of Gethsemani Chapel, Surrey, BC at 10:30 AM with Father Abundo officiating. This will be followed by a graveside service at 11:30 AM.
