Ken was an aspiring automotive showroom test pilot, home driveway auto mechanic, connoisseur of coffee from rinks across Saskatchewan, frustrated Rider fan and devoted husband and father turned awesome papa to 6 grandkids. He also found time to dedicate over 30 years to engineering within Sasktel. Early retirement saw him dabbling at home until his beloved high school sweatheart also retired. They then sought the beauty and weather of the west coast for their daily 2+ hour ''walks'' and moved to South Surrey in 2013. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Margaret Leibel of Fort Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, Ken is survived by his wife of 50 years Patricia, sons: Gerry (Lisa and daughters Ava and Kate - Calgary), and Brian (Crystal and sons Noah and Caden - South Surrey) and daughter Lisa (Dave and sons Spencer and Tyler - Cochrane).
A celebration of Ken's life will take place at Good Shepherd Church, 2250 150th Street, Surrey, B.C. on Tuesday, January 17th at 10:30am.
