It is with great sadness we must announce the sudden passing of our beautiful and beloved daughter Kaitlyn Evelyn Violet Taylor. Kaitlyn was loving and compassionate by nature and worked selflessly as a support and outreach worker on the DTES. She loved her job and planned to eventually move forward working with youth challenged by mental wellness and addictions, feeling with her own life experience she could connect with others.
Kaitlyn was a talented musician and song writer. She started writing her own poems at the age of six and she started her own band in the sixth grade. She continued to create beautiful and soulful music for the rest of her life.
Kaitlyn was kind, funny, compassionate and loving. She was a unique soul who danced to the beat of her own drum. She could do almost anything she set her mind to. She loved her family and friends, always making us all feel loved, important, supported and valued.
Kittykat you are our sunshine and love of our lives but now the sun has set and you will be forever missed.
Kaitlyn is survived by her mother Shauna Kiss, father Ross Taylor (Andrea). Her brother Ryan (Jasleen), niece and nephews, Maya, Zayn and Dylan. Step siblings Alan, Chris and Louisa; Grandmothers Darlene Cancellieri and June Taylor.
In lieu of flowers we are asking folks to make a donation to Atira Women's Resource Society or the Heart Tattoo Society as these are nonprofits Kaitlyn worked for and was passionate about. We feel Kaitlyn would approve of us honoring her memory in this way.
Our hearts they ache with sadness
And tears still freely flow
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know
Our hearts are full of memories
We cherish them with care
The way you had to leave us
Will always seem unfair
Our thoughts are forever with you
Your place no one can fill
In life we loved you dearly
In death we love you still
We miss your kind and helpful ways
Your teasing and your smile
What we would give to hold your hand
And talk with you a while.
One thing we have to tell you
Of which there is no doubt
You are wonderful to remember
Yet so hard to live without
Remembering is easy
We do it every day
Losing you is the heartache
That will never go away
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.firstmemorialsurrey.com for the Taylor family.
