It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father Josip, who has left us to be reunited with his wife and soul mate, Mira. A devoted and loving husband, father, papa, uncle, brother and friend, Josip passed away peacefully in love and comfort, surrounded by his family.
Dad was always a constant in our lives. The lighthouse in the dark. His quick wit and humorous personality drew people to him and made them smile and laugh wherever he went.
Born in Virovitica, Croatia, to the predeceased Josip and Marija Mihalic, he was the middle child of three brothers. He is survived by his elder brother, Franjo. He was predeceased by his beloved younger brother, Zeljko.
He is survived by his two loving daughters, Susan and Karen Mihalic, as well as family and friends in Canada and Croatia.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 1st at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Diabetes Canada at www.diabetes.ca
