Dawn was born in Brighton Ontario on January 17, 1933, to Hilda and Thomas Aquila Shortt. Sister to Tom (Liz), Stan (Vera) and Vera (Mac). Her parents moved from England in 1929 to Canada and settled in Brighton Ontario. Dawn and James Norman Klager were married in 1952 in St Catherines Ontario. Norman and Dawn made Ontario their home for many years until they moved to British Columbia in 2012.
She leaves behind her husband of 65 years James Norman Klager, 4 children; Jim (Judy), Wayne (Lois) Linda (Larry) Ruth (Bill). Grandchildren; Dawn, Candace, Nathan (Courtney), Tim (Sarah), Jonathan (Laurel), Brandon (Jen), Erin (Chris), Stacie (Rob) and Stephen (Lataiya). Great Grand Children; Justice, Madison, Rain, Brooklyn, Nicolas, Lucas, Campbell, Lola, Molly, Annalise, Anderson, Amos, Adrianne, Logan, David, Scarlet, Stella, Dawson, Landon, Nolan, Layten, Laycee. And great, great granddaughter Zoey.
Dawn was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother to all her children. She loved to cook roast beef dinner every Sunday for the family, loved to dress up in her big brim hats for church and sing her heart out. Her favorite job was when she worked at the Jewelry Store in Bracebridge Ontario. She had many friends from the Gospel Assemblies in Ontario and British Columbia.
She will be greatly missed by all! Bye for now Nan, until we meet again.
