He was 87. Predeceased by his son, Michael, Hugh will always be dearly loved by his wonderful bride of 64 years, Nancy; his eldest son Graham; daughter, Carrie; brother, Brad (Gayle); sister, Linda (Mel); and many nieces, nephews & friends.
All who knew him will fondly remember his gentle, gracious, generous spirit. Hugh was kind, supportive, always willing to help others, or to lend a hand. He had a wonderful sense of humour, his smile could brighten any room.
His years with the Co-operators and the many friends made there were a source of pride & happiness to him. He had many interests, particularly his many car restorations, music, and sports bringing him such joy. He made the world a better place, and will be forever cherished for his commitment to his family & friends. Hugh was an example of how to live a good life, be a great partner & husband, and the best father ever. Hugh's family will never forget the endless love & support he gave us. Our family would like to thank Dogwood Care Home for the care & support they provided Hugh, and our family. Details of a Celebration of Life will be made shortly. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pacific Parkinson's Research Institute at UBC in Hugh's memory.
