Helmut Ernst Heim

We sadly announce the passing into eternal rest of our beloved Father and Grandfather on September 2, 2013. Born in Lindenberg, Germany on February 28, 1929, he is predeceased by his wife Dorothy in August 1995, and sisters Roswitha and Irma.

He is survived and sorely missed by his son David, daughter-in-law Deidre, granddaughter Erica, and sisters Inge, Roswitha (2nd), and Evelyn along with their husbands, sons and daughters. The Funeral Service will be held at the New Apostolic Church, 3895 Albert St, Burnaby, BC on Thursday, September 12, at 4:00 PM. Ernie's lengthy battle with cancer ended at the Crossroads Hospice in Port Moody, to whom we are extremely grateful for the compassionate care he received in his final days as well as from the dedicated health professionals at Bayshore Home Health, caring physicians, colleagues, neighbours, and many dear friends and family near and far, who contributed to his joy and supported his trust in God through adversity.
